  Venue: Aspen Amphitheater
  Presented By: Michael Fremer, Stereophile
Michael Fremer, Stereophile senior contributing editor and producer of two acclaimed DVDs: "21st Century Vinyl: Michael Fremer's Practical Guide to Turntable Set-up" and "It's a Vinyl World, After All" shows you how to properly set up a turntable and install a cartridge in this hour long seminar that he's delivered to appreciative audiences worldwide. Dr. Christian Feickert will also be there to explain the workings of his Adjust + set-up software.

PC Audio - Squeezing the Music Till the Bits Squeak?
  3:00 p.m.
  Venue: Evergreen Ballroom E
Presented By: John Atkinson, Stereophile Editor
Computer playback of music offers audiophiles the opportunity to hear true master-tape quality. Yet many record companies prefer to squeeze the music out of the medium. John Atkinson will be demonstrating both the sonic heights and depths of what is currently available.

iTunes and iPods – Getting the Most Out of Your Digital Music
  4:00 p.m.
  Venue: Aspen Amphitheater
  Presented By: Steven Stone, Writer
Panel: Steve Nugent, Empirical Audio; John Reichbach, Amarra Software; and John Schaffer, Wadia; Michael Mercer, Sonic Satori - Positive Feedback Online
Steven Stone, reviewer for The Absolute Sound and columnist for EnjoytheMusic.com and Vintage Guitar Magazine will lead a discussion with on how to optimize your musical experience with iTunes and iPods. Industry experts from both the hardware and software side of the industry will explain how you can use iTunes and iPods to experience great sound in your home. Lots of time will be allotted to questions from the audience and there will be prizes for the best queries.

New Approach To Audio Measurement... why cables really matter
  5:00 p.m.
  Venue: Humboldt Peak
Presented By: Roy Gregory, Nordost; Steve Elford, Vertex AQ
Nordost and Vertex AQ will be presenting the first results of a new, co-operative, audio measurement initiative that clearly shows the importance of the impact of "peripheral" components such as cabling and supports on system performance. Following on from last year's presentation, now you can hear the effects - and see how they are reflected in the measured performance. And for once, what we measure equates closely to what we hear, offering the possibility of a whole new way of testing and understanding the performance of electronics and speakers too.

The High End: Past, Present, Future
  6:15 p.m.
  Venue: Aspen Amphitheater
  Presented By: Harry Pearson
We are excited and honored to announce that Harry Pearson, the legendary reviewer and founder of The Absolute Sound magazine will be putting in a rare public appearance at this year’s Audio Fest. In addition he will make a pair of public presentations immediately after the show closes on Friday and Saturday. Theme for these addresses, which will both be the same in order to allow the maximum number of people to attend, will be the emergence and early history of high-end audio with an emphasis on the characters who gave the early High End such flavor - perhaps dipping into the early days of TAS and Stereophile along the way. Afterwards, he will welcome any questions from the floor concerning the subject covered.
